Monthly Goals & Ideal Day

Monthly goals are an important piece of Defining My Day. All of your weekly milestones and daily priorities will flow from your monthly goals. Your monthly goals will come from your vision of your ideal self.

The Ideal Day page is where you will sketch your most productive day. This is not a daily schedule, this is your “Ideal Day”… how each day would go if they were entirely up to you. You won’t be perfect in achieving this, but you should strive to get as close as possible.

Weekly Milestones

Your weekly milestones are a blend of personal, professional, health, and relationship goals. It is up to you as to which is more important.

You do not need to have more than 1 listed but never have more than 5. Slow, steady, and meaningful progress is the goal. Weekly milestones should be things that require time and effort. Any more than 5 in a week and you are in danger of losing focus.

Daily Disciplines

Daily Disciplines are the vital habits that we all need to accomplish to be healthy human beings. In the Define My Day Planner & Journal, they are simply check boxes because each person’s ability will be different.

For some, a 10-minute walk will be the exercise goal. For another person, it will be an hour of HIIT cardio. Whatever that requirement is for you, aim to meet it every day. When you are ready, raise it.

To-Do List and Priorities

This should be called “To-Do List vs Priorities.”

Priorities are the heart of the Define My Day method. These are the daily tasks that you will accomplish to move you toward your goals. They are the daily commitments that you need to keep to yourself to succeed.

Beware the To-Do list! Use it, don’t let it use you. It is a running list of the things that you would like to get done but also don’t support your priorities. Placing to-do list items ahead of priorities is what makes people feel exhausted, overworked, and overwhelmed. Do not focus on completing the items on this list. If they must be accomplished, then they will become priorities. Otherwise, they are busywork or distractions to be done at your leisure.

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Review

Review your progress for your day, each week, and at the end of each book. Identify your accomplishments, your failures and struggles, and where you can improve for tomorrow.

Notepaper

At the back of each Define My Day™ Planner & Journal is over 40 pages of notepaper. Take notes, doodle, or make grocery lists… it’s up to you!

Kiara

I sincerely LOVE my Define My Day journal.
I can’t believe how much more I have stayed on task, completed to-do lists AND enjoyed the process so much more because it focuses and reminds me of my “whys,” breaks it down in manageable pieces and makes it not so overwhelming!
Since getting my journal, I have focused on making better habits instead of focusing on just working my to-do lists.
I am a single parent to 3 children and bought this journal because I want to give them the best of my time, not just chase the “tyranny of the urgent.”
I love how this journal is set up and plan on purchasing several more for friends and family. ❤️❤️❤️
